Boardman proprietor wins state awards


Patrick Pacalo, a longtime proprietor of Boardman, announced recently that he has won 3 first-place state awards for journalism.

The awards are for inquisitive broadcasting and editorial mainstay writing. Two are for his website on a Cold War and one was for a 2015 guest editorial that seemed in The Vindicator concerning HIV/AIDS research.

The awards will be presented during a luncheon in Aug in Columbus hosted by a Society of Professional Journalists.

Local author releases second book


Poland proprietor Julie Arduini recently expelled her second regretful novella novel, “Entangled: Surrendering a Past.”
