Author Timothy Ellis unequivocally enjoyed his time in a 1980’s, and his Hunter series positively pays homage. This, riddled with 80’s references, space show feels like it shouldn’t work, though I’ve had a tough time putting down my kindle.

Backwater bumpkin, 16-year-old Jonathon Hunter, leaves his removed universe of Outback, in a Australian zone of space, and is now bearing into a spotlight! Hunter hardly saves himself, and incorrectly saves a garland of other folks, during a bandit conflict on his Uncle’s space ship. Thus starts a Keystone Cops like avalanche of unimaginable space adventure. Hunter can’t make a mistake, women scarcely twice his age tan all over him, and he gets a cat.

I had a lot of time on my hands this weekend, while my daughter played with her grandparents, and we review 6 of this 9 book series. Ellis wrote manuals for a X video diversion series, and we consider relies on this game, that I’ve never played, for some of his production and backstory. He also evidently writes some devout beam books as well. Both are minutely benefaction in these novels, though don’t get in a way. However, a description of women as mostly a same character, with opposite names and earthy descriptions, does get a bit tedious after a while, even a AI is only another midst 20s lady who wants to dance to electronica.

Mostly, these books are fun space pirate, and afterwards space eremite zealot, outstanding movement scenes. Relying on his video diversion background, Ellis writes some good space combat. Ellis also, always, creates certain Hunter is in a best, fastest ship, with a newest technology. No one can mount in his way, and a baddies tumble like dominoes. Hunter is one infallible, intolerable 16 year old.

In further to a 9 novels in a categorical series, there are a few additional ones focusing on characters other than Hunter, a ships AI Jane is one. we attempted though didn’t find a initial interesting, regardless it being a investigator novel.

I’ve review them all around Kindle Unlimited.
